Disney! (Yeah, I know! Finally!)

We went to Orlando for the Southern Baptist Convention in June. Daddy had to attend meetings, but we took the opportunity to go see Mickey! Here are a few pictures from our trip!

First, here is a picture of the pillow cases that Granny made for the boys!

We spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom and 1 day at Animal Kingdom.

Our first stop, obviously, was Mickey's House! I cannot tell you how excited the boys were!

Since it was our first stop, we didn't have to wait too awful long...

Fortunately the boys didn't ask why they didn't talk! ;)

We also got to meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger!

This is a shot from the mid-afternoon parade...let's just say those people don't get paid enough! It was unbearably hot!

Our very first ride was the teacups...I think the pics say it ALL!

We loved the carousel, though!

We went to the Monsters Inc. Comedy Club, and it was funny! Papa was "that guy!" He got picked on a lot...but he was a good sport about it, and even got a sticker out of it! You go, Papa!

Our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ride! Buzz Lightyear! We fought Emperor Zurg, and totally kicked tushy! Buzz couldn't have done it without us! The boys are still talking about how they beat Zurg!

We went to visit Zurg in jail!

At night, waiting for the Nighttime Spectacular Parade...the castle changes colors every few minutes, and the boys made me take a picture each time!

I wish you could have heard the boys during this parade! Everything they saw, they were like "Oooo! Brother look at that one! Did you see that?!" etc. It was awesome to see Disney through their eyes!

One evening we went to DownTown Disney, and walked through some shops. Here are a few pics from that night.

This is T-Rex, the restaurant we ate at that night (reservations were made a couple of months in advance!). They loved it!

Inside there are dinosaurs everywhere! And each dining area is a different theme (eras, I think).

We actually ate in the "ocean" area. That's a huge squid hanging from the ceiling...the tentacles actually move! And there was a big aquarium right next to our table, so the boys got to look at fish while they ate.

Day 3 was spent at Animal Kingdom! Daddy was able to go with us, too! And, no, he didn't skip any meetings...we stayed an extra day after the SBC was over.

The Lion King! Absolutely awesome! The best show there, in my opinion! These "monkeys" were all over the place, doing flips, etc...kinda like MY monkeys! ;)

Every evening it was pretty easy to get them to go to sleep! They had a BLAST!

One thing is for sure: we will NOT go back in the summer, if at all possible! I think late fall or winter would be best!

M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E!

I can't believe that it's just right around the corner! I have everything ready, and with little time to spare! The boys are SO EXCITED! Every night we mark a day off our Mickey Countdown, and count how many days are left. They dance and cheer and squeal...it's absolutely adorable! I can't wait to experience Disney through the eyes of my boys!

Here are some of the projects that I worked on for our trip:

First, the Mickey countdown! If you look closely you can see where Elijah marked off some days (actually made an X)...when we went to count the days that night, he quickly corrected me when I counted the days he had marked off.

Their autograph/memory books. I found everything on sale/clearance...thank goodness, because my attempt to make covers failed miserably!

These are their disney shirts. The ones on top are the ones I made, and the ones at the bottom are the ones that Aunt Kelli and Gammie bought for them.

The pillow for their strollers. Yes, there are two, but I only took a picture of one...the better one! :) I was rather pleased with how they turned out, even though there was a learning curve with the first one.

And, finally, our Mickey suckers made out of white chocolate. The boys really enjoyed making these, and can't wait to try one. I told them they had to wait until we got to Mickey's place.

I was totally singing this song in my mind when we went to take pictures of the boys in a wild flower field nearby. My daily prayer for my boys is that "Someday (they'll) trust Him and learn how to see Him, Someday He'll call (them) and (they) will come running, and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and (they'll) pray 'I want to fall in love with You!'"

Easter (Part II)

Sunday, after church, the boys and I headed to Georgia for the week. We met Gammie and GrandDad there, and had so much fun!

This picture was too cute not to post! We rode around LC just looking at houses...this is the effect it had on Levi! Poor baby!

The boys love going to Grandma and Poppy's house. It wasn't two days after we got back home, they asked if we could go back. I told them we would try and make a trip soon; since it's only 4 hours away, it's an easy trip to make with the boys.
