In Open Fields of Wild Flowers...

Okay, if you have heard Jars of Clay, you get the title of this post. If not, here are the lyrics for "Love Song for a Savior"

In open fields of wild flowers,
she breathes the air and flies away
She thanks her Jesus for the daises and the roses
in no simple language
Someday she'll understand the meaning of it all
He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on her lips
Someday she'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call her and she will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and she'll pray,

"I want to fall in love with You"

Sitting silent wearing Sunday best
The sermon echoes through the walls
A great salvation through it calls to the people
who stare into nowhere, and can't feel the chains on their souls

He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close as a heartbeat or a song on our lips
Someday we'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call us and we will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and we'll pray,

"I want to fall in love with You"

It seems too easy to call you "Savior",
Not close enough to call you "God"
So as I sit and think of words I can mention
to show my devotion

"I want to fall in love with You"

I was totally singing this song in my mind when we went to take pictures of the boys in a wild flower field nearby. My daily prayer for my boys is that "Someday (they'll) trust Him and learn how to see Him, Someday He'll call (them) and (they) will come running, and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and (they'll) pray 'I want to fall in love with You!'"

Here are a few of my favorite shots from that day!

Easter (Part II)

Sunday, after church, the boys and I headed to Georgia for the week. We met Gammie and GrandDad there, and had so much fun!

Easter Egg Hunt with cousin Sydnee!

GrandDad was kind enough to fill up our water guns. We thanked him by "shooting" him! Hehe!

Blowing Bubbles!

Gettin' ready to go fishin'! The actual fishing lasted less than 10 minutes...3 year old ADD!

This picture was too cute not to post! We rode around LC just looking at houses...this is the effect it had on Levi! Poor baby!

The boys love going to Grandma and Poppy's house. It wasn't two days after we got back home, they asked if we could go back. I told them we would try and make a trip soon; since it's only 4 hours away, it's an easy trip to make with the boys.

Thanks for being so patient with me...I'm not the best "blogger" out there, obviously. I try to keep up, but so much happens...you know, that life stuff? Anyway, this is a work in progress, and I'm sure it will stay that way for a while. If you get a chance, check out my other blog:

http://followhardafterhim.blogspot.com/

I'm doing a Women's Bible Study at my house every week, and we're going through Beautiful in God's Eyes by Elizabeth George. So, that blog is dedicated to what we're learning, and different sites/blogs that I think are useful. We just recently had a couponing class, and I've posted some of the blogs that were recommended, and I will soon post the marvelous gems of information that were revealed to us!

Love to all!

Easter (Part I)

The Saturday before Easter, we had an Easter Egg Hunt at the church. We had a great crowd...about 20 kids or so. They had a great time hunting for eggs, then Daniel shared the gospel using the Resurrection Eggs, and then we had snacks. It was really hard to get pictures of the boys during the hunt...they move so fast!

The cupcakes I made for the hunt.

Elijah running for the prize! Couldn't get one of Levi...couldn't find him!

The group of kids after the hunt...filling them full of sugar, then sending them home!

Yumm!

Can you tell which part Elijah likes BEST?!

The next morning, the Easter Bunny came!

And then, we went to church!

I fell in LOVE with these jackets when I saw them at Crazy 8...I bought them a year in advance!

This is what Elijah did when I told them to put their arms around each other!

Stay tuned for Easter (Part II)!

Gearing up for Disney!

It's an everyday question now..."Is it summer? Are we going to see Mickey?" The boys are so excited about going to Mickey's house this summer! They come up with some very interesting questions: "Does Mickey have hands to open his door with?" "Does Nemo live underwater? Will we go underwater to see Nemo?" "Will we get to ride in Mickey's car? I want to 'cause it's red!"

Anyway, in the spirit of saving money, and because I like to find solutions to problems/do things/make things myself, I've decided to take on a few projects for our upcoming trip. I am making the boys an autograph/memory book (one each); let's just say that buying one would have been easier! I'm also going to make them Disney shirts to wear to the parks (two each; thanks to Gammie for buying them one each = 1 shirt each for each day at Disney!). Oh, and their umbrella strollers...I'm gonna make a "pillow" piece to attach to the top (because their heads hang off...yes, they're too big, but I'm not carrying two 3 yr olds around Disney when they get tired!). The final project is one that Granny is taking on: making Disney pillow cases for the trip (she's very good at these, and the boys look forward to picking out their pillow cases each time I change their sheets!). And, I have just a few short weeks to get all this done in! I think I need to get busy!

The next couple of days I will be posting pics from the past couple of months...including Easter, and our pictures from the wild flower field!
